Summary:
Under limited supervision, perform general to advanced maintenance and repairs of the Housing Authority's Public Housing units Essential Job Functions/
Responsibilities:
1)Perform general to advanced carpentry work including installing/repairing windows and flooring, 2)perform light electrical work, 3)cleaning of sewage lines, replacing of screens, painting, repairing roofs, etc.
4) Communicates with the tenant & sub-contractors in the performance of job activities, 5) Operates power tools, mechanic's tools, etc.
, 6)Performs preventative maintenance, 7)Performs general to advanced plumbing and home repairs, 8)Discern the difference between normal wear & tear & neglect or intentional damages, 9)Assist occupancy staff with unit inspections, 10)Basic operation of heavy equipment such as operating backhoe, tractor etc.

1)All other maintenance duties as needed, 2)Storm clean up as needed.
Required Skill/Certifications/Education:
1)Ability to use power tools & equipment, 2) Valid SCDL, 3)Ability to drive & operate various vehicles, 4)Thorough knowledge of repairing & maintaining electrical systems, plumbing & carpentry, 5)High School Diploma with 5-9 years experience or any equivalent combination of training & experience is required.
Physical requirements:
1)Work is both indoors and outdoors, 2)Heavy work lifting 50 lbs.
or more frequently and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
